Lesley Batty intro

Hi everyone,
you may already recognise the name as I am one of the associate editors of Mine Water and Environment. I am a lecturer in Environmental Science at the University of Birmingham in the UK. My interests lie mainly in the ecology of mine sites including the impacts of mine water pollution upon ecosystems and the use of ecology-based processes for remediation. I have recently edited a volume published by Cambridge University Press 'Ecology of Industrial Pollution' which has some material on mining that you might find interesting.
This forum really is an excellent idea and I hope that many fruitful discussions and ideas come of it!
Warm wishes to all
Lesley
