Groundwater and surface water monitoring in mining areas

Postby magdageo » 2009-11-24, 08:24

Does anybody have any experience with water monitoring in mining areas? I've got problems with setting the rules of groundwater and surface water dynamical and chemical monitoring for underground copper mining. What should be observation points density and frequency of measures, what specific chemical factors should be observed and how often? I wonder if there are any publications in theme of monitoring in mining areas? I know, that every mine is different, has specific properities but I hope there are some general rules, which could help me to understand problem and I wish to know examples from other countries :)
